How organisations are embracing yoga for workplace well-being

In a world where mental health challenges are rising, organisations are increasingly recognising emotional well-being not just as a priority but as a shared responsibility. This International Yoga Day, many companies are going beyond symbolic gestures to integrate yoga and mindfulness into daily work culture, making well-being a continuous, accessible practice rather than a one-off event.
At Myntra, employees were given free access to live and recorded yoga sessions via their wellness partner’s app, allowing them to unwind anytime, anywhere. “An exclusive beginner-friendly yoga session featuring Surya Namaskars and grounding techniques is also lined up at the office for the next week,” said Govindraj MK, Chief Human Resources Officer. “With more Myntraites turning to mindfulness to navigate work and life, we continue to create spaces that support their journey to well-being — inside and out.”
CMS Info Systems has taken a longer-term view. “Over the past two years, we’ve institutionalised yoga sessions across our Head Office and Regional Offices—engaging more than 600 employees,” shared Sanjay Singh, CHRO. From Isha Kriya meditation to Chair and Desk Yoga, these routines are woven into the rhythm of the workday. “Yoga is becoming embedded in our approach to fostering a healthier, more focused, and agile workforce. As we look ahead, initiatives like these will play a key role in strengthening employee engagement, productivity, and long-term organisational resilience.”
redBus is also marking Yoga Day with sessions focused on posture and physical well-being. “To promote holistic wellness, we’re running a wellness week with themes covering physical, mental, financial, and social wellness,” said Prabhanjan Kulkarni, Head of HR.
At Kisna Diamond and Gold Jewellery, part of the Hari Krishna Group, wellness is more than a day — it’s a way of life. “A successful organisation is one where people don’t just work—they thrive,” said Hitesh Katarmal, Vice President & Head of HR. Employees actively engage in yoga, meditation, cycling, and running. “When our people feel mentally at ease and emotionally balanced, they show up with clarity, purpose, and creativity.”
This year, the Hari Krishna Group is hosting a revitalising yoga session at Jio Garden, BKC, bringing together employees from Kisna and HK Group. “It’s more than just an event—it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to mindfulness, balance, and collective wellness.”
