The skill and employment ecosystem is rapidly changing in India, as it is the world over with rapid disruption of business models. The jobs and skills that exist today did not exist a decade ago and in this context, the skills gap of today is real. But as much as the academia, industry, and the government are trying catch-up the pace at which the new-age industries are generating demand for new skills, it will be a while before we can bridge that gap.
