The People Matters Talent Acquisition League Annual Conference 2018 is returning to Mumbai next week as part of the 2018 People Matters event series with the aim of bringing with it the best and the latest in the sphere of talent acquisition for the recruiting community.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Talent Acquisition: Fast Forward’ and the event will address the most poignant talent acquisition challenges, what’s next in TA, and will bring to the table recruiting strategies that work, and best practices on sourcing, assessment, engaging, hiring and onboarding.
The keynote session spearheaded by Nutan Singapuri, Senior Director Human Resources, Asia Pacific, LinkedIn, is one of the sessions which will touch upon the future of work.
Nutan brings with her more than 20 years of working experience across myriad industries. In the last 15 years, Nutan held various HR leadership roles in many large global organizations like Microsoft, GE Capital, Cargill, and SingTel. Prior to LinkedIn, Nutan was the HR Director for Area HQ Asia-Pacific at Microsoft.
In her session, ‘Gearing up for the future of work: The era of talent intelligence’, Nutan will throw light on how data and analytics are transforming the talent landscape. Her session will focus on how data-driven insights can be applied to sourcing, acquisition and workforce planning.
Nutan spoke to People Matters on why it will become necessary for companies to apply data-driven insights to all these verticals today. She said,
“A growing competitive landscape and technology are the main drivers for the use of talent analytics in HR today, and moving forward we will be seeing organizations use talent analytics not just for recruitment but across the talent cycle - especially retention and development. Over the next few years, we will witness fundamental changes in how companies harness the power of data and insights, and combine it with a strong instinct to predict trends and make critical decisions on workforce planning, skills gap, and retention policies.”
She adds that in this next wave of talent management, talent analytics will empower companies to answer hard questions such as where they are winning or losing talent, the location of the new office, or how they can find new talent pools, with insights at the foundation of all decision making.
Recently, LinkedIn also released a report ‘The Rise of Analytics in HR: An era of Talent Intelligence’ which revealed that in India, 14 percent of total jobs in HR are analytics based which has further led to the rise of HR analytics professionals in India. In the past five years, there has been a 77 percent increase in specialized analytics professionals in HR in India. These professionals are known to fill various specialized job titles such as ‘Data Scientist’, ‘Talent Analytics Director’ and ‘Diversity Analytics Specialist’.
With the growing need and demand for high-performing talent, how can HR leaders turn to analytics to answer critical questions about workforce planning, skills gap, employee retention, and add more value to the business? These are some of the mysteries which Nutan’s keynote will aim to demystify.
