He sells himself on Flipkart, but who’s buying?

Competition brings out the creativity – and this one is the right example of how creativity is still the best USP of everyone.
He sells himself on Flipkart, but who’s buying?

USP – that’s what sells. And Akash Neeraj Mittal, a 6-pointer from IIT-Kharagpur knows this the best. How? Akash’s dream job is to work for the e-commerce portal Flipkart as its Product Manager, but the question which bothered him was ‘why will Flipkart hire him?’ So he decided to sell himself just like a product gets sold on Flipkart – photoshopped and created his resume just like Flipkart sells its products online.  The entire resume is in the lines of Flipkart’s design – including features, product specifications, dimensions and details of his education and achievements – basically any information a buyer wants to know if he/she wants to purchase a product. He has also added a 5-star review of himself to make his profile look promising.

He wrote, “When you are a 6-pointer and competing with best of the best minds of the country, you know how hard it is to land a job. You start doing some crazy and random stuff to stand out from the crowd. This is my resume for Flipkart’s APM Profile. I didn’t get an interview call though, but I hope it will bring a smile on someone’s face.

He kept a steep asking price of Rs 27+ lakh. Other specifications included lifetime warranty. The free delivery option is also available. He describes himself in ‘Flip’ways – Fliptastic, Flipper, Fliptorious and others.
