Abhinav Chopra heads the Human Resource function at Viacom18 as Executive Vice President, Human Resource. As part of his role, he is responsible for Talent Engagement, Talent Acquisition and Training & Development initiatives across the organization.
Abhinav has been an HR practitioner since 1998 and has held several key positions within the domain at Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces previously, where he began his career. He rose through his seven-year stint there to become Manager – Human Resources, New Delhi and returned to Mumbai to join
Viacom18 in January 2006. In his 7-year stint at Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, Abhinav covered a variety of roles including Corporate Learning and Development. With Viacom18, he made a significant switch from the hospitality industry to the media & entertainment sector.
An impressive academic record, Abhinav’s educational trajectory includes his attendance at the
Organization Development Certificate Program (ODCP) in Applied Behavioral Science by National Training Laboratories Institute, Oxford, UK. He has also been an Associate of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore, where he completed his General Management Development Programme.
