Enhancing employee experience through tech in the real estate sector

Remote working has become the new norm for operating almost every business around the world. Enterprise Resource Planning systems that were previously used by multinationals to facilitate their operations across multiple countries have seen faster adaption in domestic companies as well. Real Estate sector in India has witnessed substantial advancement in terms of construction technologies used, but this kind of growth was lacking in employee and office management.

The silver lining of this unprecedented COVID situation has been that realtors have not only revised but updated their internal working policies via efficient monitoring & management software. ERP systems adapted by developers brought on the table a set of integrated software applications which streamline different departments and divisions in the office by collaborating information on a common database.

Now that people are not travelling to and fro from work, the time and energy is conserved. Better productivity results have been observed, professionals are willing to multi-task and learn about roles apart from their designated profiles. This has given developers a strong sense of trust and delegation of work has become much easier. With monitored work cycle of each employee in their offices, developers are being able to divert their attention towards creating better health guidelines for labourers and on-site construction personnel.

ERP systems with their ease in accessibility and delivery, have also made it possible for developers to attend webinars. Setting up of efficient CRM team and chain has been helpful in reaching out to the potential customers. As a developer creating home for the generations to come, it is imperative to be aware of the changing lifestyle trends. The CRM team’s functioning if carried out properly can help in gaining some vital insights on home building, design and architecture.

Apart from the CRM teams working virtually utilising the ERP software, the team of Business Development and Sales are also discovering new facets of doing expansions, revitalizing their products and services, understanding the changing financial health of target group and existing customers. The constant communication and market mapping is helping realtors rework on their payment plans, schemes and offers that can be given for boosting sales.

In fact real estate has been a major job provider in our country, there are many allied industries associated with it. To maintain an organised database for all their associations which were traditionally happening via personal meets; tech integration has proven extremely useful. It has made things transparent between stakeholders and developers, reducing chances of disruption in the entire chain economy involved even post lockdown.

The developers who haven’t yet adapted to the ERP platforms and sale management software will now have to look into automating their processes as much as possible. The key to consistent growth is to have robust software that keep the construction work in check, establish the ease of doing business for the internal employees, existing stakeholders as well as simplifying the selling process.

Technological intervention has been helpful in minimizing the impact of standstill, even training modules and assessment for the newly hired employees is achievable in a much more structured way than before. The unprecedented circumstances like present times give us a chance to introspect our already laid out planning and business models, modify it for better. Integration and up gradation of ERP systems has definitely been a boon towards more organized company and employee management.
