Affle appoints Rupane Sharma as Vice President of HR – India & Global

Sharma will oversee key HR functions and partner with leadership to strengthen the company’s people strategy, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of growth and innovation.
Affle, a Singapore-based global technology company, has appointed Rupane Sharma as Vice President of HR – India & Global, effective immediately.
Sharing the update on LinkedIn, Sharma posted, “I’m deeply grateful to the wonderful direct and extended teams I’ve had the privilege to work with. Your collaboration and support have meant a great deal. I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President – HR (India & Global) at Affle.”
He also reflected on his professional journey, noting, “Over the last few years, my journey across Digital, Process Workflows, and Low-Cost Automations has been an incredible learning curve. Every step brought valuable lessons that have helped me grow and evolve each day.”
Expressing enthusiasm for the role ahead, Sharma said he looks forward to leading the HR agenda, building strong teams, strengthening leadership capability, and driving a people-first, high-performance culture.
In his new role, Sharma brings more than 15 years of HR leadership experience spanning the IT, insurance, manufacturing, and telecom sectors. He will oversee key HR functions and partner with leadership to strengthen the company’s people strategy, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of growth and innovation.
Prior to joining Affle, Sharma served as VP–HR (Talent COE & Digital Experience) at Axis Max Life Insurance, where he led enterprise-wide HR digitisation initiatives, including the rollout of an AI-powered recruitment engine and the launch of India’s first augmented reality-powered metaverse onboarding platform, Bandhan 2.0, which earned recognition at the People Matters National Tech Conference in the Innovation category.
Earlier, at Luminous Power, he helped reposition the organisation as a solar-tech employer of choice. His tenure included launching the flagship “LumiNext” Campus Connect programme and a nationwide Tech-A-Thon initiative to strengthen employer branding in R&D.
During his time at Bharti Airtel, Sharma led the HR integration of the Retail and Broadband verticals, driving talent simplification, assessment-led leadership development, and strong engagement outcomes across national and regional PHRO and BHRO roles. He began his career with Infosys, where he gained early exposure to global HR practices and leadership development.
