Kolkata-based pharmaceutical company Albert David has announced the appointment of Umesh Kunte as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kunte’s appointment to the post has come into effect from February 6.

Besides the CEO, the pharmaceutical company also confirmed the appointment of A B Chakrabartty as the company secretary & compliance officer-cum-legal head of the firm effective from February 4.

A Pharmacy graduate from the University of Mumbai, Kunte comes with almost three decades of experience across all pharmacy companies such as Schering Plough, Ajanta Pharma, USV, Ranbaxy, Piramal Healthcare, Merck India as well as Merck Germany and Besins Healthcare, across the globe at CXO level.

He has experience across all the therapy areas in acute as well as chronic care including cardio-metabolic, anti-infectives, respiratory, pain management, gastro, women health care, dermatology and Specialty areas such as Oncology, Biotech, Nephrology, critical care, and Anti-Aids.
