Amway appoints Shantanu Das as Head HR, India

Amway, one of the largest Direct Selling FMCG company has appointed Shantanu Das as the HR Head in India.

Prior to joining Amway, Shantanu was part of the Emami Group as Vice President -HR. The XLRI alumnus has also been part of Heinz India as General Manager - HR before moving to Emami in 2013. He was also the General Manager - HR, East Market Unit at Pepsico India Holdings Pvt Limited from 1998 - 2004.

In February 2016, Amway had said it will cross Rs 1000 crore in investments in India over the next 5 years. The company had also named Anshu Budhraja as its India leader in 2015 to explore country-specific products and increase its ability to source locally. 

Amway India has nation-wide presence with over 142 offices; 4 regional mother warehouses and 55 city warehouses. The distribution and home delivery network set up with the support of independent logistics partners caters to over 11500 Zip codes across the country. 

Amway has spent in India, more than 30% of the USD 335 million allocated for global expansion. Amway India is a member of leading industry organisations including FICCI, CII, AMCHAM, USIBC and IDSA.

Globally, Amway is over 56 year old, US $ 9.5 billion, manufacturer and direct seller of high quality consumer goods. Amway’s innovation and industry-leading R&D has seen more than 1,150 patents granted and another 500 patents pending. Amway has more than 950 scientists across 75 research and development and quality assurance laboratories worldwde.
