Anil Ambani-led Reliance names Parul Sharma as group president

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group has announced the appointment of a new group president.

Parul Sharma, a communications strategist, has been named as the new group president of the Reliance Group led by Anil Ambani. Her appointment to the post is effective from June 20 and she will be based in New Delhi.

In her previous role, Sharma worked with Rupert Murdoch-owned Star India for 15 years. Before that, she worked with the German broadcaster ‘Deutsche Welle’, based in Cologne.

As the head of corporate & marketing communication and spokesperson for Star TV Group in India, she was responsible for developing the company's communications strategies and engaging with key stakeholders for business growth.

Parul's late husband, Tony Jesudasan, held the position of President for Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs at the Reliance Group. He passed away in February of this year.
