Apna appoints John Philip as Chief Business Officer for its AI platform BlueMachines.ai

Philip brings over two decades of leadership experience across enterprise technology, telecom, cloud infrastructure, and AI-led solutions.
Apna Group has appointed industry veteran John Philip as Chief Business Officer of BlueMachines.ai, its newly launched enterprise Voice AI platform, effective immediately.
In his new role, Philip brings over two decades of leadership experience across enterprise technology, telecom, cloud infrastructure, and AI-led solutions. “He will lead business strategy for the Voice AI vertical, expand the enterprise pipeline in India and international markets, and strengthen go-to-market and revenue operations,” the company shared.
Philip will work closely with Apna Group Founder and CEO Nirmit Parikh, alongside product and engineering teams, to accelerate deployments and deepen customer partnerships.
“The appointment comes as Indian businesses shift rapidly from AI experimentation to large-scale deployment. A recent EY–CII report notes that 47% of Indian enterprises now have multiple AI use cases running in production, signalling a decisive move from pilots to performance,” the company added.
Before this appointment, Philip served as Chief Revenue Officer at Gnani.ai, where he oversaw revenue growth, enterprise partnerships and GTM strategy for its conversational AI business. Previously, he worked with Avaya, Cisco, HP, AGC Networks, Avaya GlobalConnect and TATA Telecom, in senior leadership roles.
Welcoming him on to the leadership team, Nirmit Parikh, Founder & Group CEO, Apna Group said, “John’s sales leadership experience across Avaya and Cisco gives him a sharp understanding of how large enterprises adopt mission-critical technology. BlueMachines is setting the benchmark in enterprise Voice AI with the fastest, most reliable deployments in the industry. With a strong product foundation and John’s ability to build trust with enterprise customers, we are positioned to scale rapidly.”
Philip added, “Having spent years in enterprise technology, I have seen how difficult and unpredictable AI deployments can be. Most platforms take months to stabilize. Blue Machines stood out to me because it just works — it goes live in days or weeks, maintains low latency across languages, and solves the hardest part of Voice AI: reliable production deployment. The opportunity ahead is massive, and I look forward to taking Blue Machines to a global scale.”
