BSNL names Shivendra Nath as Chief Managing Director of EPIL

Shivendra Nath, a 1994-batch officer of UPSC, has been chosen by the PSEB panel to assume the role of Chairman & Managing Director at Engineering Projects (India) Ltd. His appointment aims to steer the organisation towards achieving its corporate objectives and performance targets.
BSNL names Shivendra Nath as Chief Managing Director of EPIL

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, a telecommunications company, has announced the appointment of Shivendra Nath as the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Engineering Projects (India) Ltd., PSU undertaking of the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.

Nath’s selection was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on July 27, 2023. He was among the four candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. Currently, he is acting as Senior General Manager of BSNL. 

Nath was serving BSNL as Chief Engineer since September 2020, and previously, he was Superintending Engineer of Naya Raipur Development Authority till January 2021. He began his career in engineering after selection through the Union Public Service Commission in 1994, as Engineering Project Manager of P&T Department, Indian Engineering Services.

Nath holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee. Additionally, he earned an MBA in Finance from BIT Mesra.

In his new role, Nath brings the core experience of over 25 years in Infrastructure development, contract management and supervision, sustainable water, urbane planning and development, and government administration. He will serve as the Chief Executive of EPIL and will report to its Board of Directors. With his selection, he has been entrusted with the efficient functioning of the organisation in achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
