Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive has appointed Indrajeet Sengupta as its new senior vice president human resources. He has replaced Manish Sinha who will make a move to the group’s financial services arm as CHRO at Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. (MMFSL).

Sengupta’s appointment will be effective from June 15. He will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Veejay Nakra, President – Automotive Division, and Rajeshwar Tripathi, CHRO – Automotive & Farm Equipment Sector (AFS).

Before joining Mahindra, Sengupta worked as CHRO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.

In addition to leading Human Resources for the Automotive Division, Sengupta will also be responsible for associated businesses – Last Mile Mobility (LMM), Mahindra Electric Automobiles Limited (MEAL), Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE UK) and Automobili Pininfarina (APF).

 Sengupta comes with over 28 years of experience in the domain, having led strategic and impactful initiatives spanning both HR and ER. 

The new CHRO of Mahindra Automotive is skilled in talent management, HR transformation, executive coaching, organisational development, leadership development & coaching, and business strategy.

Prior to Coca-Cola, Sengupta worked with Johnson & Johnson India and South Asia as CHRO. Mars, GE Healthcare are other prominent organisations where Sengupta worked preciously.

He holds an MBA in Human Resources and Information Systems from Xavier Institute of Social Service.
