Digital diagnostic platform 5C Network has expanded its core leadership with the appointment of Anand Iyer as chief operating officer.

The announcement comes soon after 5C Network inked a strategic partnership with Tata 1mg. 

A seasoned professional with over three decades in multinational corporations as well as reputed startups, Iyer has led the sales function for several leading companies in India and Asia, including a $400 million Asia business for a Fortune 1000 company.

His experience spans across multiple industries including IT, medical and power electronics, telecom, internet and mobile software technologies. He has also led three venture-invested startups in India (including marquee investors like Bessemer and Peepul). With a deep exposure and interest in sales and marketing, product management, business strategy, and leadership development, Anand is also an angel investor, associated with an angel investment network in India.

Iyer holds extensive experience in managing and strengthening stakeholder relations, both internal and external, including investors, customers and partners, and comfortable handling C-level relationships. He has also played mentoring and coaching roles for CXO leaders that have been paramountal in shaping the organisation’s leadership.

"5C Network has built a unique platform that can scale massively to democratise access to diagnostics and healthcare using the latest technologies including artificial intelligence. Such a platform makes it possible to connect a global network of hospitals, diagnostic centres, radiologists, physicians and patients. Today, on an average a million scans are done every day in India. I am looking at two years from now where every third scan is reported on the 5C platform. That opportunity to deliver high-impact healthcare outcomes makes me truly excited to be part of 5C Network,” said Iyer on his appointment.

5C Network enables the storing, sharing and interpreting of radiology images across India. It helps hospitals and diagnostic centres maximise the return on investment (ROI) on their radiology machines by making specialists available 24x7.
