Godrej Industries (Chemicals) has appointed Poonam Burman as the new chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective April.

With close to three decades of experience in strategic HR business partnering in varied industries like FMCG, IT Product development, Automobiles, Textiles, Oil & Gas Engineering services, Mining products and services, Telecom, Poonam has joined Godrej Industries from Unilever. 

In her most immediate role with Unilever, she worked as business HR leader-beauty and well being and personal care business group. She also held an interim HR Director role for Unilever Srilanka and Category HR Head South Asia- Beauty Well-Being and Personal Care.

Haldia Petrochemicals and Lexmark are other organisations where she worked previously.
