Greaves Electric Mobility appoints Samarpita Banerjee as CHRO

Banerjee brings over two decades of cross-industry and global HR experience spanning IT, automotive, HVAC, and other consumer products industries to her new role.

Greaves Electric Mobility has announced the appointment of Samarpita Banerjee as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately. 


The appointment strengthens the company's leadership team as it scales operations and advances its long-term growth ambitions.


With over two decades of experience across human resources, organisational effectiveness, and leadership development, Banerjee will lead the company’s overall HR strategy and administration services. Her mandate includes building scalable and future-ready people practices to support business growth across manufacturing, technology, and sales functions. She will report to Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility.


Before joining Greaves Electric Mobility, Banerjee served as Director – Human Resources at Carrier Corporation, where she led HR strategy for high-growth digital, engineering, business services, and global functions, while also partnering closely with the APAC technology organisation. 


Her career spans senior HR leadership roles at organisations including Wipro, Diageo, Solera, and Novozymes, bringing deep cross-industry experience across IT, automotive, HVAC, and consumer products.


Based out of the company’s Bengaluru headquarters at IndiQube Miniforest, Banerjee holds an MBA in Human Resources and a master’s degree in Econometrics. Known for her people-first leadership philosophy, she is also an avid reader and painter.


The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the company as it continues to build future-ready leadership and organisational capabilities ahead of its next phase of growth.
