Media buying major GroupM, part of global advertising conglomerate WPP group, has recently announced the appointment of Sameer Singh (Sam Singh) as CEO of its South Asia operations. Sameer, who will be starting in July, will report to CVL Srinivas, country manager, WPP India and Mark Patterson, CEO GroupM Asia Pacific.
Based out of Gurugram, he will lead the continued development of GroupM's data-centric enablement for its agencies as they continue to deliver competitive advantage to clients.

Sameer joins GroupM from Google India where he was Director- Sales, responsible for the agency business. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he has worked across different functions such as brand management, marketing services, and media, among others at Gillette, P&G, GSK and Google.
