In addition to his duties as the CEO of Cash Business, Rustom Irani will be Hitachi Payments’ new Managing Director, with effect from April 1. The former MD, Loney Antony has been promoted to the Vice Chairman role.

Loney Antony, having led the company as its MD from day one will assume his vice-chairmanship and role as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Hitachi Payments & Mentor to the Leadership Team. Antony will also act as an adviser in order to grow the Global Payments business arm and the Social Innovation branch of Hitachi’s business on an international level.

“Rustom is the ideal blend of business sense and deep technical expertise that can add value to any business. He has been instrumental in shaping Hitachi Payment Services’ growth from its early stages and will now be responsible to lead the company into its next phase of growth,” said Loney Antony.

Having served as the COO for more than eight years at Hitachi, Irani took up the role of CEO of Cash Business in April 2018. Previously, he played a crucial role in building the technological infrastructure, setting up process management teams and establishing seamless operations within the company as the Director of Operations, Technology, Field Engineering and Channel Management groups.

Before joining Hitachi, Irani also worked at MindTree, Sify, Yahoo India and Citibank India.
