ICRA appoints Venkatesh Viswanathan as group CFO
Domestic rating agency ICRA has appointed a new group CFO. According to the latest update, Venkatesh Viswanathan has replaced Amit Kumar Gupta as the CFO, whose term ends August 30.
Viswanathan’s appointment for the post is effective from August 30. Venkatesh who is a commerce graduate and a chartered accountant, comes with more than two decades of experience in finance, accounts, audit, taxation, financial risks and controls, treasury, and internal audit.
Before ICRA, Viswanathan worked with CRISIL, IT Nation (India) Pvt Ltd, and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). He is known for making successful regulatory transitions, mergers, acquisitions, hive-offs, financial due diligences, tax structuring, and cost management.
Majorly owned by global rating agency Moody's Group, ICRA Limited was set up in 1991 as a full-service Credit Rating Agency by Indian financial/investment institutions, commercial banks and financial services companies. It was established as independent and professional investment information and credit rating agency. ICRA offers consulting and outsourcing services through its subsidiaries.
