Ikea India names Patrik Antoni CEO as Susanne Pulverer resigns
Antoni will also work as the Country Retail Manager and CSO of Ikea India.
Leading Swedish furniture retailer Ikea's India unit has announced the appointment of Patrik Antoni as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 2025.
He will replace Susanne Pulverer, current Country Retail Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), who has decided to leave her role at Ikea, the company said in an official statement.
Pulverer was associated with Ikea for 28 years and has spent over eight years in India in three stints. According to the company, Antoni will also work as the Country Retail Manager and CSO of Ikea India.
"Antoni will lead the company's ambitious growth plans in India, leveraging his 20-plus years of Ikea experience and deep knowledge of the total Ikea value chain. In this new structure, the CEO will take on holistic responsibility for retail operations in India and common topics across Ingka companies," the company said.
Having served in India in the capacity of Deputy CEO in his previous stint, Antoni said he looks forward to bringing his experience, energy, and deep commitment to Ikea's values to support the company's ambitious expansion plans, making the furniture retailer even more accessible to the many people in India.
Antoni's appointment as the India CEO comes as the retail giant is accelerating its growth and expansion in the country, capitalising on India's rising aspirational population.
