At the 19th Annual General Meeting of the InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo airlines, stakeholders approved the appointment of three independent directors. The appointment of Anil Parashar as a director was also approved by them.
According to media reports, IndiGo told Indian bourses, “Appointment of Vikram Singh Mehta as an Independent Director of the Company by a Special Resolution. II. Appointment of Air Chief Marshall (Retd.) Birender Singh Dhanoa as an Independent Director of the Company by a Special Resolution. III. Appointment of Meleveetil Damodaran as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company by a Special Resolution” has been made.
A report carried out by Mint states that in April to June 2022 quarter, the aviation company posted a loss of ₹1,064 crore. InterGlobe Aviation or IndiGo share price finished at ₹1,978.70 apiece levels on NSE on Friday.
According to other media reports, IndiGo has witnessed a growth and operated 133,582 departures in Q1-FY23, about 7.04% more than its last best of 124,798 departures in Q3-FY20.
Despite the initial loss in the first quarter of this fiscal year, hit by high fuel prices and adverse foreign currency movement, of the domestic market, IndiGo carried about 56.3% passengers alone.
