Jaguar Land Rover names Adrian Mardell as CEO and Richard Molyneux as CFO

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), a subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, announced the appointment of Adrian Mardell as Chief Executive Officer. He was serving as an interim CEO since November 2022 after Thierry Bollore's exit from the company. Earlier, he was acting as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the JLR Board of Directors for three years.

Additionally, Richard Molyneux has been named as Chief Financial Officer, of JLR, after serving as Acting Chief Financial Officer since 12 December 2022. Previously, he was acting as Finance Director, Operations of JLR for six years. 

Extending wishes to the new CEO and CFO, Mr Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Tata Motors And JLR said, “I offer my warmest congratulations to Adrian Mardell and Richard Molyneux on their respective appointments to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of JLR.

Adrian and Richard are an exceptional team with strong automotive and leadership experience. I look forward to working with them further, delivering JLR’s transformation to modern luxury which is well underway.”

In the same official announcement, Mardell stated, “It has been my immense privilege to lead JLR over the last eight months and I am proud to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of this fantastic business which has shaped me over the last 32 years. We have the right vision and people to deliver our Reimagine strategy and I am honoured to lead JLR on the journey ahead.”

Furthermore, Molyneux conveyed, “I am delighted to be appointed Chief Financial Officer at JLR. Our financial position continues to improve and this, coupled with our enviable brands and our investment of £15bn over the next five years, gives me great confidence in the delivery of our transformation.”

JLR's 'Reimagine' strategy envisions a sustainable future of modern luxury. With a goal to achieve carbon net zero by 2039, they'll address emissions across their supply chain, products, and operations. Additionally, science-based targets aim to reduce emissions across their operations and value chains by 2030.
