Jet Airways has appointed Rahul Taneja as the company’s Chief People Officer. He will join the Executive Management Committee that has been tasked by the Board of Directors of Jet Airways to drive the company’s growth and future strategy.

He has previously headed corporate human resources at Essar Group, HR Director at Dell International and Group HR Head at telecom networks solutions company, HFCL. Taneja, who has more than 25 years of experience in various industries, would be based at Jet Airways' corporate headquarters in Mumbai and report to the CEO.

Naresh Goyal, Chairman of Jet Airways, said, “I am delighted that Rahul Taneja has joined Jet Airways as Chief People Officer and a key member of our executive management committee. He brings with him a global HR management perspective, and I am sure Jet Airways will benefit substantially from his expertise and experience locally and internationally. I look forward to Rahul working with our entire leadership team as we continue to execute our growth strategy”.

On 6 February 2016, Naresh Goyal-promoted Jet Airways posted its highest ever quarterly profit of Rs 467.11 crore for the third quarter between October to December 2015.

Taneja said, “I am very pleased to take up this key role at Jet Airways, an airline that has emerged in a dynamic aviation industry as a great Indian brand with significant presence in domestic and international markets. As the company moves to its next phase of evolution, we will support this through effectively channelling our human capital to further enhance the guest experience and meet the organisation’s growth objectives."
