Jindal Stainless has recently brought on board, Learning and Development (L&D) expert, Nitin Thakur to head the function in the company.

Thakur will lead and drive the implementation of leadership development in the Company. He will work closely with Chief Human Resources Officer, Jindal Stainless, S K Jain.

On his appointment, CHRO S K Jain said, “Building a learning culture is pivotal to any organization’s growth in today’s time. We are glad to bring Nitin on board to lead this important function.” 

Thakur is a Harvard alumnus with over 19 years of diverse experience in Leadership Development and Talent Management who will be responsible for fostering an improved learning culture and employee growth in the company. With over 15,000 employees the globe, Jindal Stainless, a $3.2 Bn company, is India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer. 

Thakur’s appointment is significant given the learning and reskilling are going to be one of the top priorities for 2020 in the people and work space. In that respect, what impact can Thakur make in terms of leading the L&D agenda at the steel behemoth will be something that will be keenly watched.
