Jio-bp appoints Sareeta Bhatikar as Chief Human Resources Officer

Bhatikar brings over two decades of experience in shaping people strategy, and recently served HDFC Life as Head of HR for over six years.

Jio-bp has appointed Sareeta Bhatikar as its Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company advances its next phase of growth and transformation in India’s mobility sector.

Bhatikar brings over two decades of experience in shaping people strategy, leading large-scale transformation initiatives, and driving cultural integration across diverse organisations. In her new role, she will head the HR function at Jio-bp, with a mandate to build organisational capability, strengthen talent frameworks, and align the company’s people priorities with its strategic growth agenda.


Bhatikar joins Jio-bp from HDFC Life, where she served as Head of Human Resources. During her tenure, she led the people strategy for a workforce of more than 40,000 employees and played a pivotal role in steering the HR transformation journey during the merger with Exide Life.


Announcing her move on LinkedIn, Bhatikar posted, “After 6 fulfilling years at HDFC Life, I am delighted to start my new chapter as the CHRO at Jio-bp. My stint at HDFC Life has been filled with experiences and learnings, and relationships that I will always cherish.”

Earlier in her career, Bhatikar held leadership roles at Cipla, Vodafone, A.P. Moller–Maersk, Unilever, and LTI (Larsen & Toubro Infotech), gaining extensive experience across talent management, HR transformation, employee relations, and change management.


Academically, Bhatikar holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Welingkar Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics. She is also a qualified cost accountant from ICWAI, holds an LLB from VPM Thane College, and a postgraduate diploma in comparative methodology from the University of Mumbai.
