JWIL Infra appoints Sunita Thakur Kohli as Chief Human Resources Officer

JWIL Infra Group has appointed Sunita Thakur Kohli as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately. 

In her new role, Kohli will lead human resources, administration, communications, and corporate social responsibility at the holistic water-management company.

Announcing the appointment, JWIL Infra said it looks forward to Kohli’s people-centric leadership as the company continues its growth journey, adding that her cross-functional leadership experience will be a strong asset to the organisation. Kohli joins JWIL Infra after an extensive three-decade association with SUEZ India and its subsidiary Degremont, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources from 2021 to 2025. Her career spans over 33 years across the water and wastewater sector, covering roles in R&D, operations, business development, digital transformation, and inclusion and diversity initiatives across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

She began her HR journey in 1991 as a research officer at Bhasin Associates, before moving to Degremont in 1992. Over the years, she held several leadership positions including commissioning manager, plant manager (O&M), senior manager – sales and business development, and deputy general manager. Her responsibilities also included internal audits, BU management dashboards, and designing HR induction programmes for graduate engineer trainees.

Kohli later rose to Vice President and then Senior Vice President – HR, Administration and Communications at SUEZ India.
