Madhumitha Venkataraman joins Coca Cola as Diversity & Inclusion Head

Coca Cola has appointed Madhumitha Venkataraman as the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Head for South Asia. 

At Coca Cola, she will be responsible for building an ecosystem and culture of diversity and inclusion across the organization in the South Asia region, spread across all the HR and business systems. The role will be focussed on all forms of diversity, covering 8000+ associates.

She was also the Associate Director - Human Resources and Diversity and Inclusion at Snapdeal where she had conceptualized and kick started Advitya, diversity and inclusion charter of Snapdeal across India. The initiative was also recognized by People Matters as a finalist for “Best in Diversity” at the L&D Conference, 2015. She has also worked with Edelweiss Capital, Mercer and GE India.

An MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Madhumita has worked in areas of business partnering, setting up HR practices, leadership development, talent management, diversity and inclusion and organisation design in a large conglomerate, a start-up and a leading consulting organisation.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has worked extensively in the space of diversity and inclusion with consulting organisations, corporates, NGOs and social enterprises to create an impact. She works across gender, disability, LGBTIQA and generational (elderly/senior citizens) diversity. Has a certification in gender, sexuality and disability from CREA and is certified in American Sign Language. She has started and leads a blog called ‘Diversity Diaries’ which presents a voice/ point of view of different minority groups.
