Marriott International has announced appointment of Vinay Jaswal to the role of Senior Director HR for South Asia, effective August 2022. The news has been confirmed by Jaswal on LinkedIn.

"I am excited to start my new journey with Marriott International as the Human Capital leader (Sr Director HR) for South Asia. Thanks for all your good wishes and blessings,” reads a LinkedIn post by Jaswal.

Before Marriott International, Jaswal who has close to two decades of working experience in HR domain served as HR Head-South-West Asia at IHG Hotels and Resorts.

An alumnus of National Defence Academy (NDA) and XLRI Jamshedpur, Jaswal is known for business building and culture transformation. His diverse background ranging from the Indian Army to the aviation sector seems to be a testimonial of his versatility as a leader.

In addition to MBA in Human Resource, he has also PG Diploma in Defence Automotive Technology from Savitribai Phule University, Pune.

Jaswal was also a defence instructor / troops commander (major) with the Indian Army for 12 years from June 1992-June 2004. In his professional journey, he also served Hughes Communications India Ltd, Aviva Life Insurance, iDiscoveri Education Pvt Ltd, InterGlobe Air Transport Limited, InterGlobe Hotels among others.
