The exchange filing statement released on July 31 stated, “The Q1 FY24 earnings increased by 145.31 per cent. And as of August 1, 2023, for a three-year term, Yukihiro Yamashita has been appointed as director and full-time director designated as joint managing director (engineering and quality assurance).”

Assuming his new position, Yamashita brings an extensive background of over 30 years, encompassing management, research, and technology in the automotive industry. This appointment represents a significant advancement in his role, as he was previously serving as Director and Senior Managing Officer Chief Technology Officer since April 1, 2023.

Yamashita's journey with Maruti Suzuki Corporation began as Vice Executive-General Manager, where he oversaw automobile engineering operations.
