McDonald's Corporation appoints Saumya Mittal as Chief People Officer for Asia

Saumya Mittal, a People Matters “Are You in the List” 2015 awardee, has stepped into a new leadership role as CPO for Asia at McDonald’s Corporation.
McDonald’s Corporation has appointed Saumya Mittal as Chief People Officer for Asia, effective August. Mittal brings nearly two decades of HR leadership experience, having previously served as APAC Commercial HR Lead at Google. Her career spans global giants like PepsiCo, where she spent over a decade shaping talent strategy across markets.
A winner of the People Matters “Are You in the List” 2015 award, Mittal is recognized as one of India’s top HR leaders. She is an alumna of the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
In a LinkedIn post announcing her new role, Mittal wrote:
“Started a new chapter this week as Chief People Officer for Asia at McDonald's Corporation. The opportunity to partner with our exceptional leaders and talent is immense! Asia is a vibrant and growing market, and I'm looking forward to collaborating with the team to champion our people agenda.”
