Mondelez appoints Samir Jain as president of India’s business

Samir Jain has succeeded Deepak Iyer as president of Mondelez International’s India business and will join the company in August.

After elevating Deepak Iyer as Executive Vice President and President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), confectionary major Mondelez International has named Samir Jain as his successor for its India business. 

Jain has succeeded Iyer as president of Mondelez International’s India business and will join the company in August. Iyer’s appointment as EVP will come into effect on June 5. Iyer has replaced Maurizio Brusadelli, who will leave the company in June to pursue another leadership opportunity.

Jain who is set to join Mondelez International from Bunge India will report to Iyer in his new role and will be part of the AMEA Leadership Team representing India.

Jain worked with Unilever India in various roles across categories and functions for more than 17 years. He started his association with Unilever in 1995 as a management trainee. He left the company in 2012 as the vice president of the Laundry Category.
