Kenneth Sequeira has been appointed as the Deputy Director - Human Capital at Myntra. Prior to this, Kenneth was associated with Kantar as Talent and Learning Consultant wherein he played an instrumental role in designing, developing, and delivering learning interventions of all modalities to support multiple employee groups in South Asia, APAC regions, and for global operations teams.
Talking about his appointment with People Matters, Kenneth shares, "The experience from day 1 has been quite overwhelming, especially at this time where everything is virtual. I never really felt the absence of the personal connect. The team has managed the onboarding experience with as much care as they manage their customer experience. Myntra has this unique culture of providing high-quality employee experience which has thoroughly impressed me. I am really excited and looking forward to work with Myntra and its young and energetic team."
Kenneth will be joining the larger L&D team in Myntra which has been set up over the last few years. His overall responsibility will be working on the managerial capabilities and developing key talent within the business and looking at enhancing their journey at Myntra. Kenneth will also be driving the learning culture in the organization, particularly amid the new context that the world is inside now, the COVID-19 crisis.
One Challenge:
"The big challenge would be make learners and managers take on learning in a proactive manner and focusing more on pull learning rather than push learning," shared Kenneth. It has become even more critical for us especially in the new world of work. There might be a plethora of resources available, the best of the programs, trainers, and more but the challenge of running things virtually and try to find out the level of impact that it might actually create. The lack of physical presence makes it a big challenge. In this new world, learning needs to be embedded within you. It needs to become a part and parcel of the working life.
