Vedanta announces Neha Sharma as new Group CHRO

An MBA graduate from MIT Sloan, she has accumulated over two decades of diverse HR experience across the United States, Mexico, and India.
Vedanta, the mining and metal conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Neha Sharma as its new Group CHRO effective February 10, 2026. The appointment comes at a time when the company’s current CHRO, Madhu
Srivastava, who has been with Vedanta for 13 years, tendered her resignation, effective at the close of business on January 31, 2026.
Srivastava worked with Vedanta as its CHRO for the past seven years, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Sharma brings over two decades of global experience to her new position. An MBA graduate from MIT Sloan, she has accumulated over two decades of diverse HR experience across the United States, Mexico, and India.
Prior to joining Vedanta, she served at Unifi Aviation, where she oversaw people strategy for more than 40,000 employees across 250+ airport locations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Throughout her career, Sharma has led large-scale organisational transformations, developed leadership systems that enhance retention, reliability, and profitability, and demonstrated a unique ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Her expertise is further underscored by her experience navigating complex, high-velocity operational environments, making her well-equipped to drive Vedanta’s people agenda forward in a dynamic global landscape.
