NIIT appoints Shilpa Dua as new Chief Human Resources Officer

With her extensive experience in people transformation, culture development, and digital HR strategy, Dua joins NIIT to lead its human capital framework and drive organizational excellence.
NIIT Limited, a leading skills and talent development company, has appointed Shilpa Dua as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately.
“Shilpa Dua has joined the Company as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Person with effect from October 30, 2025,” the company announced in an exchange filing.
In her new role, Dua brings around two decades of HR leadership experience across financial services, retail, consumer goods, and healthcare. She previously held HR leadership positions at organizations such as Max Life Insurance, Walmart India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), and GSK Consumer Healthcare Limited.
She began her career in 2004 with GSK as HR Manager - Leadership & Organizational Development, leading strategic HR projects in leadership development, capability building, and talent management. Then she joined HCCB as National Manager of Commercial & Sales HR, driving key programs in employee relations, talent acquisition, and organization development.
At Walmart India Private Limited, Dua served as General Manager – HR, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s people practices and leadership capability. Her most recent corporate role was as Corporate Vice President & Head HR – Axis Partnership at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, where she led transformative HR initiatives focused on culture shaping, leadership capability acceleration, digital HR enablement, organization design, and performance-linked growth architecture.
Following her tenure at Max Life, Dua was engaged with several start-up companies, providing HR consulting services as a freelancer, contributing her expertise in designing scalable people strategies and building high-performance teams.
Dua is an alumna of the FORE School of Management, New Delhi, where she completed her post-graduation in Human Resources, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi.
With her deep expertise in people transformation, culture building, and digital HR strategy, Dua is set to play a key role in strengthening NIIT’s human capital framework and supporting its long-term growth and organizational excellence.
