Dr. NS Rajan, erstwhile member of the Group Executive Council and the Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Sons, has taken up a new leadership role with IDFC Bank. Apart from leading the human resources and marketing divisions for IDFC Bank, Rajan will also be the Chief Executive Officer for the IDFC Foundation.

We confirm that Dr. N.S Rajan will be joining IDFC Bank as Group CHRO (chief human resources officer) and Group CMO (chief marketing officer). He will be CEO (chief executive officer) of IDFC Foundation,” a spokesperson from IDFC Bank was quoted as saying, as reported by Livemint.

People Matters reached out to Mr. Rajan for a statement, and is awaiting his response.

Rajan has made this career move, after a four year long association with the Tata group, wherein he reported to the then-chairman, Cyrus Mistry. A management graduate from XLRI Jamshedpur, he comes with over three decades of cross-functional experience in the industry and consulting.

He is the former national president of the National HRD Network (NHRD), and the author of ‘Quote Me If You Can’: a book replete with his quotes on the various aspects of life in the workplace. He has also been awarded for outstanding HR Leadership at the Hindustan Times HR Leadership Awards, 2012, and the HR Professional of the Year 2008 award, by NHRDN.
