Online marketplace ShopClues has appointed Anuraag Gambhir as its new Managing Director. In his new role, Anuraag will beresponsible for expanding e-Commerce market, working towards building a global market and cross border trade among others.

Earlier, he worked  as senior director at the online market place since 2019. An MBA from IMI New Delhi, Anuraag comes with more than 15 years of work experience.

According to him, there is a great opportunity in cross border trade and he wants to focus on import and export through global partner websites that control more than $3.5 billion yearly of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV). He further stated that Shopclues is working as a close-service partner with the Indian government on projects like the Government e-Marketplace (GEM) for the past four years. Gambhir said his  vision for ShopClues is to make it a self-sustaining organisation that is not dependent on constant funding.

Earlier, he worked with Accenture and Snapdeal.
