Polycab appoints Gyan Pandey as Chief Digital and Information Officer

Pandey brings more than 25 years of experience across manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and enterprise IT.

Polycab India has appointed seasoned technology leader Gyan Pandey as its Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), strengthening the company’s focus on accelerating digital transformation and future-ready capabilities.

Pandey brings more than 25 years of experience across manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and enterprise IT. In his new role, he is expected to drive enterprise-wide digital strategy, enhance data-led decision-making, and align technology initiatives with business performance.


Prior to joining Polycab, Pandey served as Head – Digital / Chief Digital Officer at Voltas, where he led the organisation’s digital transformation agenda. During his tenure, he helped embed data-driven decision-making across business functions, advanced cloud-enabled operations, and shaped practical, business-focused technology strategies.


Sharing the update on LinkedIn, Pandey said, “Beginning this new chapter at Polycab India with humility and commitment. I remain deeply thankful for my time at Voltas – A TATA Enterprise, where strong foundations and meaningful collaborations defined the journey.”


He also reflected, “My journey at Voltas has been deeply enriching, where we strengthened digital foundations and fostered a culture of data-driven decision-making. As I take on this new responsibility, I remain committed to aligning people, processes, and technology to deliver meaningful business impact and build future-ready organisations.”


Before Voltas, Pandey served nearly eight years as Global and Group CIO at Aurobindo Pharma and was Director of Global Delivery Centre at Enrich Salon Group. His international experience includes leadership roles at Qatar Petrochemical Company, International Turnkey Systems in Kuwait, and Gulf Computers in the UAE.


Earlier in his career, Pandey held roles with Oracle Corporation, PwC India, Panasonic, and Genpact.

His appointment underscores Polycab’s continued investment in digital capabilities to support scalable growth and innovation.
