The appointment comes as Protean eGov focuses on scaling its people practices and building a future-ready workforce for its next phase of growth.

Protean eGov Technologies Ltd., known for its work on India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), has appointed Dr. Harpreet Singh Anand as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This senior hire shows Protean is focused on having a ready workforce as it expands globally and strengthens its role in digital governance.

Dr. Anand will oversee the company’s HR and administration teams. His main goal will be to develop an agile, digitally focused workforce that can support the company’s next phase of growth. This appointment comes as Protean continues its key role in India’s digital governance and looks to work on global DPI projects in emerging markets.

Suresh Sethi, Protean’s CEO, said Dr. Anand is exactly who they need right now. "As we start growing again, Harpreet's knack for making sure our people plans match our business goals will be hugely important," Sethi noted. "He focuses on making us fast, productive, and digital-first, which will help us build the kind of team that's ready for anything."

Dr. Anand brings over twenty years of experience in HR, organisational design, and business change. He’s led big digital and cultural shifts in various sectors. For instance, at India Post Payments Bank, he helped 300,000 postal employees transition into new tech-enabled roles using HR automation. During his time at Kotak Life Insurance, he was credited with onboarding 6,000 employees in a single year, setting industry standards for speed and efficiency.

"I’m excited to join Protean eGov at such a pivotal moment," said Dr. Harpreet Singh Anand. "India’s workforce today is more connected, data-literate, and aspirational than ever before, and organisations must match that energy. Protean’s work on large-scale digital infrastructure offers a unique chance to redefine what a future-ready workforce looks like."

Dr. Anand holds an honorary PhD and is a certified coach, but what really matters is his history of mixing new ideas with a genuine care for people. That combination looks perfect for Protean, a company aiming to base its future growth on trust and change.
