Ravi Kunwar to run India operations of Nokia phone maker HMD

HMD Global, the maker of Nokia smartphones, has announced the appointment of Ravi Kunwar as head of its Indian operations.

Ravi who joined HMD in December 2016 comes with more than 25 years of experience in the mobile and consumer durable industries. Prior to joining HMD, he held leadership positions across sales and business operations with Microsoft, Nokia, and Samsung. 

He has extensive experience working in the Indian and Asia Pacific markets. In his previous role at HMD, Ravi was the general manager for the Pan-Asia markets. Since joining HMD he has been instrumental in building and developing the company footprint and business across the Asia Pacific markets.

Ravi holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
