Rohit Vishal Gupta joins Haldiram’s as Group CHRO

Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt. Ltd. names Rohit Vishal Gupta as Group CHRO to drive talent development, capability building and HR transformation.
Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt. Ltd. has brought in Rohit Vishal Gupta as Group Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a key leadership addition as the homegrown food giant continues to scale its operations in India and overseas markets. Gupta stepped into the role in November and will be based out of Noida.
Gupta joins Haldiram’s with close to twenty years in HR and talent roles across consumer, healthcare and industrial sectors. His recent assignment was with Varun Beverages Ltd., where he led HR strategy and people programmes through a period of expansion and organisational change. Prior to that, he worked across multiple leadership roles in learning, talent, and capability building, gaining experience managing workforce planning, integration projects, and frontline capability development.
At Haldiram’s, Gupta will be tasked with strengthening the company’s talent backbone at a time when the brand is increasing investments in manufacturing, retail network expansion, and digital-enabled distribution. He will work closely with business heads on capability development, performance systems, and culture initiatives, particularly as the company looks to deepen its footprint in new domestic and international markets.
People familiar with the development said the appointment signals the organisation’s intent to sharpen its people agenda as competition in the packaged food and QSR segments intensifies. The company has been increasing hiring in manufacturing and supply roles in recent quarters, while also pushing efforts to build future leadership across commercial, operations and marketing functions.
Founded in Bikaner and headquartered in New Delhi-NCR, Haldiram’s today operates across packaged foods, restaurants and exports, with a network spanning India, the Middle East, North America and select Asia-Pacific markets. As the company continues to scale, the HR function is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping workforce capability and leadership depth.
