Sanofi India names Deepak Arora as Managing Director

Arora brings over three decades of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Sanofi India has appointed Deepak Arora as its new Managing Director, effective immediately. 

In his new role, Arora brings over three decades of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 

Most recently, Arora served AstraZeneca as the Country President based in South Africa for over six years. Previously, he has held senior roles spanning Commercial, Sales & Marketing, and General Management, driving acquisitions and sustainable growth for several multinational companies. 

Bringing a wealth of global perspective and leadership expertise, Arora will be responsible for defining and driving Sanofi’s strategic vision for India in alignment with the company’s global priorities. He will also lead key initiatives to accelerate innovation, strengthen agility, and enhance operational excellence across all business functions.

A strong advocate for inclusive leadership, Arora will further champion Sanofi’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) culture to bring the company’s core values to life.

On the academic front, Arora holds an MBA from the Indira Gandhi National Open University and a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology from the University of Lucknow.
