Schneider Electric Infrastructure appoints Omkar Prasad as CFO

Omkar Prasad will succeed Suparna Banerjee Bhattacharyya, who is stepping down to pursue opportunities outside the organisation.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited (SEIL) has appointed A Omkar Prasad as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 16, 2025, according to a regulatory filing. 

Prasad will succeed Suparna Banerjee Bhattacharyya, who is stepping down to pursue opportunities outside the organisation. 

Currently serving as Chief Accounting Officer for Greater India, Prasad oversees Schneider Electric’s operations across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. His appointment as CFO has been approved by the board and will be notified to regulators as a Key Managerial Personnel change. 

A Fellow Chartered Accountant and IIM Bangalore alumnus, Prasad brings over two decades of experience in financial controllership, tax compliance, and risk management. He has led digital transformation initiatives that have driven cost optimization, process simplification, and team innovation across Schneider Electric’s South Asia operations. 

Known for building diverse, high-performing teams, Prasad’s leadership style blends strategic finance with a commitment to sustainability and simplification. His appointment signals Schneider Electric’s continued focus on financial agility and operational excellence. Bhattacharyya will remain in office until mid-September to ensure a smooth transition.
