Sekhmet Pharmaventures has onboarded Uma Rao Ganduri as the chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective February.

In this role, Rao, an alumnus of TISS, will be responsible for shaping the people strategy at Sekhmet. 

She comes with experience in overseeing human resources functions for both global and domestic multinational corporations in India. She has refined her expertise in strategic HR, contemporary HR policies, business HR partnering, talent management, compensation and benefits, merger & acquisition-related HR work, industrial relations, as well as matters about labor unions and long-term settlements.

With over 30 years of experience in human resources, Uma has joined Sekhmet Pharmaventures from Granules India Limited. She has also held key leadership roles at Ashok Leyland, HIL, Mars, IBM, Idea Cellular, TCS and HPCL. 

She has worked closely with businesses in managing mission-critical projects and assignments in multiple sectors, including pharma, auto, IT, petroleum, and manufacturing.
