Shoppers Stop appoints Nabamita Banerjee as CHRO, bringing 18+ years of HR leadership across retail, IT, and QSR sectors to drive people strategy.
Shoppers Stop, an Indian department store chain owned by the K Raheja Corp, has announced the appointment of Nabamita Banerjee as Customer Care Associate & Chief Human Resource Officer of the Company, effective September 1.
“Banerjee is a seasoned Human Resources leader with over 18 years of extensive and diverse experience across IT, Retail, and QSR industries. Her expertise spans business partnering, talent management, compensation & benefits, organisation development, HR operations, inclusion & diversity, social impact, and change management,” said the company in a stock exchange filing.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to the growth and success of organisations, including Patni Computers and the Apparel Group, a global fashion retailer. In her most recent role, she served as Head of Human Resources at Tata Starbucks.
Banerjee holds a Post Graduate Program in e-Business (Human Resources) from Welingkar Institute of Management, and a BE in Electronics and Communication from L.D. College of Engineering.
With her strong leadership background and proficiency in the HR spectrum, Banerjee brings tremendous value to the organisation.
