Shoppers Stop names Kavindra Mishra as new CEO

Kavindra Mishra succeeded Venugopal G Nair as CEO of Shoppers Stop, who resigned for personal reasons.
Shoppers Stop names Kavindra Mishra as new CEO

Retail chain Shoppers Stop has named Kavindra Mishra as the next CEO. Mishra’s appointment to the post came after Venu Nair resigned from his post. He will assume his new responsibility on September 1.

Before being named CEO of Shoppers Stop, Mishra worked as a customer care associate and chief commercial officer - external brands & CEO Home Stop. His appointment will be effective for a period of three years, subject to the approval of shareholders, according to a stock exchange filing.

Nagesh, the non-executive chairman of the company will handhold during the transition period. 

Mishra who is a member of the CII National Committee on Retail, joined Shoppers Stop from the House of Anita Dongre where he worked as MD and CEO for close to four years.

Pepe Jeans London, Zovi.com, United Colors of Benetton, Tommy Hilfiger, Nokia India, Madura Garments, Cadbury India, and Madura Coats were other organisations where Mishra worked previously.
