Sintex appoints Nilesh Mazumdar as CEO

Mazumdar brings with him over three decades of extensive experience across a diverse set of industries and iconic organisations. His career reflects a consistent track record of building and scaling successful businesses, driving sustained brand growth, and nurturing high-performing teams. Recognised for his ability to blend strategic foresight with on-ground execution, Mazumdar is expected to play a key role in Sintex’s transformation journey under the Welspun World umbrella. 

In a LinkedIn post announcing the appointment, Sintex said, “Mazumdar’s career journey includes navigating both startup ecosystems and established legacy businesses, positioning him perfectly to lead Sintex as we recraft our legacy for the future.” The company further noted, “As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are confident that his leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation, operational excellence, and continued growth for Sintex.” 

Before joining Sintex, Mazumdar served as CEO at Sheela Foam, a well-known player in the Indian consumer and comfort products market. His earlier professional journey also includes a notable 14-year tenure at Pidilite Industries, where he held multiple leadership roles and was last designated as CEO of the company’s construction chemicals division. His experience across consumer goods, chemicals, and manufacturing sectors adds depth to his leadership capabilities.
