Sintex, a Welspun World company and a leading manufacturer of a wide range of plastic products in India, has announced the appointment of Nilesh Mazumdar as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mazumdar brings with him over three decades of extensive experience across a diverse set of industries and iconic organisations. His career reflects a consistent track record of building and scaling successful businesses, driving sustained brand growth, and nurturing high-performing teams. Recognised for his ability to blend strategic foresight with on-ground execution, Mazumdar is expected to play a key role in Sintex’s transformation journey under the Welspun World umbrella.

Before joining Sintex, Mazumdar served as CEO at Sheela Foam, a well-known player in the Indian consumer and comfort products market. His earlier professional journey also includes a notable 14-year tenure at Pidilite Industries, where he held multiple leadership roles and was last designated as CEO of the company’s construction chemicals division. His experience across consumer goods, chemicals, and manufacturing sectors adds depth to his leadership capabilities.
