Artificial intelligence powered skilling platform Disprz has announced the appointment of Devi Maheshwari as the new director of people at the company. In her new role, Devi is tasked with building and developing the people function aspect of the company.

Commenting on the appointment, Subramanian (Subbu) Viswanathan, Co-Founder and CEO, Disprz said, “ Happy to welcome Devi to our leadership team as "Director of People". Devi brings in experience leading the People function across multiple start-ups and understands the people's nuances in the context of high-growth multi-location / virtual environments very well. Our people are first-class citizens as enshrined in our purpose and values and with Devi's leadership, we hope to translate these statements to action. It is a challenging role with our fast-growth rates (we went from 100 to 250 people in less than a year and we will reach 500 in the next year) and with a woman at the helm, I am sure we will rise up to the challenge.”

With over 12 years of experience under her belt, Devi is well versed in managing various diverse functional and leadership aspects of building People function in organisations. 

Previously, Devi was the HR Head at FlexiLoans for almost two years, where she built HR functional capabilities in People Practices, HR Tech and Talent Acquisition.

Prior to that, Devi has worked in the philanthropic sector with organisations like Magic Bus India Foundation and Population Services International where she played an instrumental role in organisation restructuring, creating people strategies, leading regional HR functions and collaborating  with senior leadership to drive business results.

Devi holds Master's and Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Amity University and Delhi University respectively and has completed an Executive Program in HR from IIM-Lucknow.
