Sonali Roychowdhury appointed Chief People & Organisation Officer for Asia, Middle East & Africa at Mars Snacking

Mars Snacking has appointed Sonali Roychowdhury as Chief People & Organisation Officer for its Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region, effective January 2026. Based in Singapore, Roychowdhury brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience in people and culture roles across major multinationals, including Procter & Gamble, Kellanova (formerly Kellogg Company), and Mars.

Roychowdhury’s career is marked by her expertise in organisational scale-up, end-to-end mergers and acquisitions, and large-scale integrations, demonstrating her ability to align culture and leadership, design operating models, and drive talent retention during periods of significant transition.

Her remit has spanned complex, diverse environments across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, giving her a unique international perspective and deep cultural fluency.

A passionate advocate for modern, value-creating HR, Roychowdhury is known for her pragmatic approach, commercial discipline, and human leadership style. She has partnered closely with C-suite leaders, providing thoughtful challenge and navigating ambiguity with clarity and judgement. For the past decade, she has also invested in and advised HR technology startups, bringing an external lens to digital transformation and enterprise HR innovation.

Roychowdhury holds advanced credentials from XLRI Jamshedpur, Columbia University, and Cornell University’s ILR School, and is a respected mentor to senior HR leaders in the region.
