Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT services, consulting, and business solutions firm, has announced the appointment of Sivakumar Viswanathan as the new head of the Resource Management Group (RMG).

RMG plays a vital role in overseeing the hiring of contract workers and internal resource deployment for projects at TCS. Viswanathan stepped into this crucial position after ES Chakravarthy, the former head of RMG, was placed on leave following allegations of unethical recruitment practices made by a whistleblower.

In response to the alleged hiring scandal, the company has terminated the employment of at least 15 executives within the RMG division across the United States, Canada, and India. Additionally, eight staffing firms have been blacklisted.
