Uno Minda appoints Garima Garg as Group CHRO, bringing over 20 years of HR leadership experience across industries.
Uno Minda, a leading global manufacturer of automotive components, has announced the appointment of Garima Garg as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Garg, who officially stepped into the role in September 2025, succeeds Rakesh Mehta, who stepped down on August 27, 2025.
With over two decades of diverse experience across industries, Garg is expected to play a critical role in strengthening Uno Minda’s cultural fabric, nurturing talent, and driving organisational transformation as the company continues its growth journey.
On her new role, Garg shared, “I am inspired to see Uno Minda’s remarkable growth journey. I look forward to building on its strong cultural DNA to fuel the next phase of growth.”
She joins Uno Minda from ReNew, India’s leading renewable energy company, where she played a pivotal role in shaping people strategies during the country’s energy transition.
Her career spans energy, manufacturing, automotive, industrial goods, cement, BFSI, technology, consumer durables, and FMCG, where she has consistently scaled HR systems and processes to align with organisational growth.
An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Garg also holds a Graduate Certificate in HR from Cornell University, underscoring her academic depth alongside her industry expertise.
Her previous leadership roles across multiple organisations highlight her ability to design and implement strategic HR initiatives, making her a strong fit for Uno Minda’s evolving needs.
With Garg at the helm of HR, Uno Minda aims to reinforce its commitment to people-first leadership, innovation-driven growth, and future-ready workforce strategies.
